🚗 Luxury

Why large luxury hotels organise vintage car shows
This week, the second edition of the Oberoi Concours d’Elegance concluded at the Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur. From the iconic BMW 507 Roadster of the 1950s to the modern-electric Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre, the event was a display of not just machines, but also of history, and was a lesson in luxury hospitality.
X Factor: BMW X3 xDrive30 M Sport Pro
The BMW X3 xDrive30 M Sport Pro may have one of the longest names seen on any car sold in the country, but it also happens to be an important car in BMW India’s lineup right now. Sitting at the heart of the mid-size luxury SUV segment, the X3 has become one of BMW’s best sales performers. If you look at BMW India’s 2025 numbers, it’s clear the brand has closed the gap to its German rivals and products such as the X3 have played a vital role in that rise. The first thing you notice about the new X3 is that it no longer plays it safe. ‘Bold’ is the word that best describes this design. Right up front, the illuminated kidney grille dominates the face and while it may still divide opinion, there’s no denying the drama it adds especially at night. Unlock the car in a dimly lit parking lot, and the soft glow from the grille instantly announces its presence. It is theatrical and unmistakably BMW. Beyond the grille, there’s a lot to admire. The LED headlamps are sharp and modern, the bumper sculpting is aggressive without being messy, and the bonnet features strong creases that give the X3 a muscular, purposeful look. Move to the side, and you’ll still recognise the familiar X3 silhouette, but the surfacing is tighter and more defined. At the rear, sharp lines across the tailgate and bumper give the SUV a planted, athletic stance. This is an X3 that looks like it means business.

🎤 Interviews & Features

Red Reason: Ducati
There’s something tricky about building a middleweight tourer. Get it wrong, and experienced riders will call it dull. Make it too aggressive, and newcomers upgrading from smaller machines will feel like they’ve accidentally adopted a wild horse. That’s why the 2026 Ducati Multistrada V2 matters.
Hero Destini 110 review: A smaller Hero for a greater Destini
Hero was anything but a ‘hero’ in the 100-125 cc scooter segment. But the Destini 125, launched in 2024, started to change that. Even though it sells a fraction of Honda Activa sales, it started getting scooter customers into Hero MotoCorp showrooms.

🏍 EV/ICE Two Wheelers

Ather faces scale challenge as TVS, Bajaj accelerate
The electric scooter market is entering a phase of direct confrontation between the pioneer and the incumbents. Royal Enfield offersE20 conversion kits
Royal Enfield has introduced E20 fuel conversion kits for older BS3 and BS4 versions of the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Thunderbird 350. The kits are designed to help these motorcycles run reliably on petrol blended with up to 20 per cent ethanol, which has been introduced across India. The upgrade replaces key fuel system components, including fuel lines, seals and gaskets, with ethanol-resistant parts to prevent premature wear, leaks or blockages. The retrofit is primarily aimed at unit-construction engine models that are equipped with carburettors. Royal Enfield advises installation at authorised service centres. The kit for BS4 models is priced around ₹1,700, while BS3 versions may cost more depending on additional carburettor-related upgrades and parts availability.
EV two-wheelers: More than just mobility

In recent years, electric two-wheelers (EV 2Ws) have moved decisively from the fringes to the mainstream, with adoption rising sharply across both personal and commercial segments.
