Ferrari tests a new hardcore racecar for the road: Is this the 296 Challenge Stradale?
While Ferrari is taking a new direction with its upcoming Luce EV, petrolheads still have something to wait for this year. A new camouflaged test mule was spotted out in the wild, looking like a race-bred machine that has managed to break out of the track onto public roads. But a hardcore, road-legal version of one of its racecars may be precisely what the Italian marque has in store for us.

Ferrari Luce EV interior revealed
Ferrari has shared fresh details of its first-ever electric car, confirming it will be called the Luce, which means ‘Light’ in Italian. It has also revealed the EV’s interior, which blends modern tech with retro influences. The cabin features a steering-column-mounted digital instrument cluster designed to move with the wheel, using layered OLED displays that mimic classic analogue dials. The steering wheel draws inspiration from older Ferraris, with physical buttons replacing touch controls. An aluminium trim runs across the dashboard, housing circular air vents and a floating centre screen that can be angled toward the occupants . Ferrari has integrated a mechanical clock with multiple display modes and a glass shift-by-wire selector. The Luce’s glass key introduces colour-changing E-Ink technology, adding another distinctive touch to Ferrari’s first electric model.

Ferrari 849 Testarossa review: A legacy reimagined
Ferrari’s revived 849 Testarossa is the SF90 replacement and takes over as the flagship of the legendary Italian sports-car maker’s regular range. It mixes a proper heritage badge and design cues from the 1970s/80s with a very modern and potent plug-in hybrid powertrain. Ferrari has taken the basic ingredients of the SF90 and added dollops of nostalgia, tech and spice to cook up the most powerful production Ferrari short of the F80. Producing 1,050hp and rocketing to 100kph from standstill in 2.3 seconds, the 849 Testarossa is deep into hypercar territory while still being a series-production Ferrari. But does it live up to the Testarossa legacy?

Ferrari sees good potential to grow in India: CEO Benedetto Vigna
For Ferrari, India is a small but promising market, and the brand plans to stay closely engaged as wealth creation and infrastructure improve. Speaking at IIT Bombay’s E-Summit 2025, chief executive officer Benedetto Vigna said, “India, for the time being, is small. But I think there is good potential.”
Ferrari EVs to complement petrol and hybrid models, not replace them
Ferrari plans to run multiple powertrain strategies in parallel rather than pursue an all-electric transition, confirmed its chief executive officer, Benedetto Vigna, at IIT Bombay’s E-Summit 2025. The Italian marque will add electric cars to its line-up without abandoning combustion engines or hybrids, as it seeks to offer driving emotion and customer choice amid tightening global regulations.

The prelude to things to come took place the night before, with a dinner fit for royalty at Jaipur’s Rambagh Palace. The palace was lit up, offering a magnificent backdrop for 26 Ferraris neatly parked in formation, their sculpted lines highlighted under the floodlights. It was a sight that even jaded, ultra-rich hotel guests couldn’t ignore – phones out, faces lit with the expression only Ferraris can evoke.

The new Ferrari is pushing all the right buttons
For some wealthyFerrari NV customers the biggest thrill of 2025 wasn’t the launch of some flashy new technology or supercar model, but rather the prancing horse’s reversion to using simple mechanical buttons to control aspects of the vehicle. When buyers were told the Italian carmaker is moving away from finicky touch- sensitive controls on the steering wheel and going back to buttons there was “big, big applause”, CEO Benedetto Vigna told Bloomberg TV last week, emphasising that the company will henceforth use “digital where it’s needed, and physical where it’s needed”. Ferrari’s epiphany is the latest example of a manufacturer reappraising the minimalist and futuristic design trends that have transformed the automobile in recent years — not always for the better.

Ferrari 296 Speciale review: Special Effects
Each time Ferrari launches a new model, you can be assured that a more focused, no-holds-barred version will follow soon after. It started with the 360 Modena, which was followed by the 360 Challenge Stradale, then the F430 which got the F430 Scuderia, the 458 Italia with the 458 Speciale, and the 488 GTB with the 488 Pista. For the 296 GTB, this would be a tall order. However, when Ferrari actually managed to make a wilder version of the mid-engined supercar, it was so impressive that even they couldn’t think of a suffix better than what it simply was — Speciale.
