First Range Rover Evoque rolls out from Tata-JLR Ranipet plant
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles on Monday rolled out the first JLR car - Range Rover Evoque model - from the Tata Motors - JLR factory in Panapakkam, Ranipet factory, 90 km west of Chennai.
Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle plant in the industrial area, and drove the first car for a short distance inside the factory.
Tata-JLR becomes the seventh auto major after Hyundai, Renault, Nissan, BMW, Stellantis and VinFast to manufacture their cars in the State.
