Off roading modern classic SUVs: old school cool
There are few things that challenge one’s driving skills as much as off-roading. It might look slow-paced, messy, and sometimes pointless, but its biggest draw is the sense of achievement after conquering trails that crossovers would consider dead ends. Off-roading is simple, unadulterated and hugely involving for petrolheads – or, in this case, dieselheads.
3 reasons to buy the TVS Ronin and 2 to skip it
The TVS Ronin debuted over three years ago and immediately positioned itself as a rather unique offering. It doesn’t fit neatly into any particular category, blending elements from neo-retro machines, cafe racers and scramblers, giving it a distinctive space in TVS’s portfolio and, in fact, the Indian motorcycle market in general. If you’re considering buying one, here are the top reasons it’s worth looking at, along with a couple of deterrents.

Here, we elaborate on the top reasons to consider the Fronx, as well as why you should avoid it.

Lotus Emeya R review: The next Batmobile?
The biggest challenge for any EV – regardless of segment – is avoiding that flat driving feel. They’re all quick in a straight line, but in a one-dimensional way, and few are able to excite around corners. Lotus, a brand with a legendary handling pedigree, aims to change that. But can they make a 2.5-tonne, four-door electric GT feel engaging?

KTM 160 Duke fuel economy tested and explained
The 160 Duke is a naked streetfighter and the successor to the 125 Duke, which was discontinued in India. The bike makes use of a 164.2cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19hp at 9,500rpm, 15.5Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm, and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Kaas supercar drive: Come rain or shine
Sportscars are no longer the temperamental beasts they once were. Almost every mainstream performance car is built to be as comfortable carving up a mountain pass as it is sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Porsches epitomise this philosophy – almost every kind of 911, Boxster or Cayman offers a decent-sized boot, a spacious cabin, and robust engineering. But in India, despite this, owners rarely venture beyond familiar city roads. In Mumbai, that usually means the Atal Setu or the coastal road. Road conditions, fuel and service availability, traffic, and prying eyes often keep these cars garage-bound. Which begs the question: is it worth owning a supercar if you can’t use it?
Top 5 most affordable cars with hill hold feature
One of the things that a rookie driver is often afraid of is stalling the vehicle on an incline. To counter it, carmakers have been offering a hill-hold feature in their cars that holds the brake for a couple of seconds even if you move the foot to accelerate the car. Called the hill-hold assist, this feature has now gotten so democratised that it has trickled down to even the most entry-level car segments. Here’s a list of the 5 most affordable cars in India with the hill-hold feature:
Opinion: Form is function
Oh no! It’s happening again. I’m beginning to appreciate a design that I earlier just couldn’t wrap my head around. New shapes, forms and proportions that initially looked awkward are slowly starting to look better. Has this happened to you? I bet it has. Car designers who go bold with their designs clearly know something we don’t.
Every generation of 3-Series driven: 3's company
Mumbai’s coastal road, early Sunday morning. Empty stretches of intra-city highway as far as the eye can see – the impressive skyline of Mumbai on one side and wide-open vistas of the Arabian Sea on the other. And we’ve been lucky, blue skies abound. Truth be told, the patches of blue sky look distinctly Bavarian today. Seems only fitting that the line-up we have today that celebrates 50 years of the 3 Series is extra special – we have every single generation put into production! And that includes every generation sold in India. What an opportunity to drive every generation of the world’s premier rear-wheel-drive sporting sedan back to back.
Opinion: Saving the small car
Much like Japan’s Kei car regulations, India’s small car policy, introduced in 2006, saw a slew of very India-specific cars being developed. With a sub-4-metre length and sub-1,200cc petrol or sub-1,500cc diesel engines, these cars were pretty unique to India; hatchbacks in Europe typically cross over the 4-metre length mark today.
Monsoon 4X4 Autocross Mumbai 2025: Dirt, metal and glory
Most Mumbai SUV owners spend their weekends cruising to cafes or winding through the scenic Western Ghats. But on 12th October, Sunday, 30 competitors brought their ladder-frame SUVs to Venom Moto Park in Vajreshwar (north of Mumbai) for something far more demanding.

Marc Marquez’s absence from the grid, following the injury he sustained in Indonesia a couple of weekends ago, has made the fight for the top step on the podium more open than ever this season. And this past Sunday, it was Raul Fernandez who seized the opportunity, delivering a commanding ride to claim both his and Trackhouse Racing’s first-ever premier class victory.
Mini Countryman JCW: 3 reasons to buy and 3 reasons to skip it
India has seen the launch of some enthusiast-friendly offerings this year, including the Volkswagen Golf GTi, Skoda Octavia RS, and the recently-launched Mini Countryman JCW All4. What was earlier available in an all-electric guise is now also offered in an ICE version, that too with the more likeable JCW badge. But does the Countryman JCW pack in enough to cater to the enthusiast in you? If purchasing one is on the back of your mind, read along to find out three reasons to listen to your heart and three reasons why you should rethink your choices. Let us start with the pros first:
2025 Yezdi Adventure review: Added appeal
In its quest to take on giants like RE and powerful brand names like Triumph and Harley, Classic Legends has to lean on a sense of uniqueness and out-of-the-box desirability with its products. The latest Yezdi Adventure takes a clear step in that direction.
2025 Hyundai Venue: 5 Things to know ahead of its launch
Hyundai will soon launch a new generation of the Venue compact SUV. Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 Hyundai Venue ahead of its launch on November 4.
Every car that does not have 6 airbags as standard
Given the unpredictable nature of Indian roads and motorists, safety has ballooned in importance to the average car buyer in recent years. Initiatives like Bharat NCAP allow for standardised crash testing and certification, and features like Level 2 ADAS act as an additional safety net while driving.
Eurogrip Roadhound tyres review
Eurogrip’s Roadhound is a sport-touring radial aimed at middleweights and big bikes, with sizes ranging up to a 190/50 ZR17 rear. On paper, it has all the right buzzwords – steel belt, dual compounds, silica-rich tread – but the bigger question is how it feels once fitted and ridden in the real world? Well, I’ve spent the past 2,000km with these tyres on my Triumph Street Triple RS, and here’s what I’ve discovered.
Bajaj Pulsar 125: FAQs on engine, features, and weight
Despite how long it's been around, the 'Classic' Pulsar 125 still offers an impressive package that holds its own against rivals that have come since like the Honda SP 125, TVS Raider 125, and Hero Glamour X. Here are answers to some of the questions you might have about the most affordable Pulsar.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire long term review, 8,500km report
City runs may seem uneventful and boring, but when you combine record-breaking rainfall with back-breaking roads, even the mundane drive to work can feel like a scene from Death Race. You’d imagine the bare minimum you need in an uprooted Mumbai is a ladder-frame SUV with a lift kit – but surprisingly, the Dzire copes just fine.
TVS Apache RTX 300 review: ADV done right?
Adventure bikes are all the rage these days and nearly every mainstream two-wheeler company has at least one ADV in its lineup. TVS has taken its own sweet time to join the fray with its long awaited Apache RTX 300 but the company has studied the market properly before releasing its debut offering.
10 most affordable bikes with cruise control
A long list of features has become a strong selling point for many motorcycles. Buyers now often prioritise extensive and unique features over a product’s overall strength, pushing manufacturers to cram in as much as they can to stay competitive. This list follows our earlier compilation of the most affordable bikes with a TFT display.
