Government invites EU companies to invest in India’s EV sector
New Delhi: The government on Friday has invited EU companies to invest in India’s growing electric vehicle (EV) sector by participating in the ‘Scheme for promotion of manufacture of electric cars in India’, which offers customs duty reductions and incentives for global automakers.
India, EU to conclude FTA this year
India and the European Union on Friday decided to conclude their much-awaited Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by the end of 2025,  and finalised a blueprint for increased collaboration in broad range of areas such as trade, mobility, technology and investment.
Honda Elevate crosses 1 lakh sales milestone
Honda Cars India has announced that the Elevate SUV has crossed 1 lakh sales. Launched in 2023, the Elevate is the only SUV in Honda’s lineup, and the company has sold 53,326 units of the vehicle in the Indian market, while 47,653 examples have been exported till January. Other interesting bits to note about the latest sales data are that more than 50 per cent of Elevates sold are specced in the top-spec ZX trim, white is the favourite paint choice, and nearly 80 per cent of buyers have opted for the CVT gearbox. Prices start at ₹11.79 lakh, ex-showroom.
Nagpur’s EV Boom: Over 1,000% jump in green wheels in 4 years
EV registrations in Nagpur surged 1,084% in the past four years, marking a major shift in the city's transport landscape. Across the district, including rural and urban RTOs (MH-31, MH-40, and MH-49), registrations grew from 2,193 in 2021 to 25,959 in 2024, as per regional transport office (RTO) data.
Auto sales skid 17%

New Delhi : Retail Auto sales fell sharply in February with all major segments registering a decline compared to the year-ago period .Total vehicle sales dropped by 17% year-on-year to 1.7 million units compared to 2.1 million units in February last year, according to Vahan data. The decline was broad-based, affecting passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
Hyundai sees India topping Europe in sales this year

Mumbai : India could emerge as the third-biggest market for Hyundai Motor Company in 2025 replacing the entire European market,as the Korean auto heavyweight prepares to up the ante with new launches amid sluggish demand conditions.
