Gujarat targets ₹35,000 cr investments through new Gujarat Electronics Component Manufacturing Policy-2025
This policy aims to establish upstream industries that could play a role in the state’s nascent semiconductor ecosystem where four semiconductor projects are under various stages of construction. The new policy will encourage manufacturers of Multi-Layer and High-Density Interconnect (HDI) Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Lithium-ion cell, Surface Mount Devices (SMD) passive components, display and camera modules, electronic parts and related machinery, to set up shop in Gujarat, stated an official release here.

Existing models must comply by October 2026. MoRTH has also recommended updates to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) to include blind spot monitoring systems in trucks and buses.
Government may slow down declaring more state highways as national highways
In a major policy change, the Centre is preparing a model to provide financial assistance to state govts for one-time improvement of state highways rather than declaring more of these as NHs. The road transport ministry will instead focus on building more new greenfield highways and expressways.

Jaguar Land Rover to face $2.1 bn tariff hit: N Chandrasekaran
