Blusmart Mobility and Gensol Engineering issued notices by NCLT after three new insolvency pleas
Solar manufacturer Gensol Engineering and electric vehicle ride-hailing service BluSmart Mobility were issued notices by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Tuesday over three new insolvency claims by financial creditors Spectrum Trimpex, Catalyst Trusteeship and Equentia Financial Services over alleged pending dues.

European carmakers Mercedes-Benz, Skoda-Volkswagen Auto and South Korean’s Hyundai and Kia have shown their interest to participate in the Scheme to Promote Manufacturing of Electric Passenger Cars in India (SPMEPCI), except Tesla. American billionaire Elon Musk’s Tesla is not interested in the ‘Make in India’ scheme right now, HD Kumaraswamy, Minister of Heavy Industries told reporters here. “We are not expecting from them (Tesla). They are only opening up showrooms here, but not interested in manufacturing,” Kumaraswamy said. The scheme has been notified on Monday and the portal for applications will be started within this month, senior officials at Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) said.

Harrier.ev in driver's seat as Tata Motors eyes 50% market share in EVs
Speaking to Business Standard, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said the SUV segment has grown over the years to now command 55 per cent of the PV market, and within this, the high-SUV segment (vehicles priced over ₹20 lakh) accounts for around 25,000 units a month. This is a sizeable segment and attracts more sophisticated customers — mostly upgraders from earlier cars — who are looking for better performance, quality, and new technology in their vehicles.
