Source Credit: The Economic Times
Kia India has officially revealed its latest offering for the Indian market—the Kia Syros, a sub-compact SUV positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in the brand’s lineup.
This marks Kia's second sub-compact SUV for India, following the success of the Sonet. Bookings for the Syros are now open, and customers can reserve it online or at Kia dealerships, TOI reported Sunday. Deliveries are set to begin in February 2025, with timelines varying across the country.
Launch date and booking details
The official pricing of the Kia Syros will be announced on February 3, 2025, as per TOI. However, according to CarDekho, the Syros is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 9.7 lakh to Rs 16.5 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and engine configuration.
Ahead of its launch, the vehicle has already started arriving at showrooms across the nation, allowing potential buyers to get a closer look.
Kia Syros' bold new design
As per a TOI report, the Kia Syros flaunts a fresh design inspired by Kia’s global models, including the Carnival, EV3, and EV9. It features a boxy, upright stance with several eye-catching details:
Front Design: Vertically stacked LED headlamps integrated into the bumper, housing three projector units, and unique drop-down LED daytime running lights reminiscent of the Carnival. The upper front fascia is sealed, giving it an EV-like appearance, with air intakes placed in the blacked-out lower section accented by silver trim.
Side Profile: Blacked-out A-, C-, and D-pillars, body-coloured B-pillars, flush-fitting door handles, thick plastic cladding over the wheel arches, and distinctive 17-inch three-petal alloy wheels. A kink in the rear window line adds character to the design.
Rear Styling: The tall boy stance resembles a minivan with high-mounted L-shaped tail lamps wrapping around the rear windscreen. The two-tone rear bumper in black and silver enhances its sporty appeal.

Skoda Kylaq review: Familiar yet distinct
With sub-4-metre SUVs accounting for 60 percent of total passenger vehicle sales in India, every manufacturer is vying for a share of that market. Skoda is the latest to join the segment with the Kylaq, aiming to make a strong impact. The brand has generated significant buzz over the past year through its marketing tactics, including a naming contest and periodic teasers. We even had the chance to test a camouflaged pre-production model on a race track. However, the real highlight is its aggressive introductory price of Rs 7.89 lakh, announced ahead of the full range pricing. But the question remains: Can the Kylaq take on well-established rivals?
Rolls-Royce Spectre review: Silent grandeur

2024 Icons of Porsche festival experience: Dialled up to 911
Over 28,000 people, 500 special cars, and two days of art, culture and everything Porsche – that’s the 2024 edition of the Icons of Porsche festival for you. Before I even reached the venue in Dubai’s swanky design district, the streets were filled with sights and sounds of Porsches homing in on the festival grounds, and from the moment I walked in, I was absolutely overwhelmed. No, it wasn’t because of the crowd; it was because of all the precious metal scattered around with Dubai’s stunning skyline in the background. From 356s to 964s to 918 Spyders to apocalypse-ready Cayennes and every imaginable Porsche GT product, it took me a good while just to soak it all in and calm down.
Triumph Daytona 660 review: The Daytona evolves
In the motorcycling world, the word ‘Daytona’ conjures up imagery of a modern-day icon that outdid its Japanese competition as it won seemingly countless championships in racing classes around the world. The Daytona 660 you see here is Triumph’s replacement to the original 675, but while that was a thoroughbred supersport bike built to dominate the race track, this is a relatively basic road bike that has been built to a budget. Hmm.
Kriega Sling Pro Messenger bag review
Before I start telling you about this unique-looking bag, I have a confession to make: I have organisational OCD and am a creature of habit. I can’t stand disarray of any sort when it comes to packing my belongings, and the way I pack follows the saying – ‘a place for everything, and everything in its place.’ That’s why the Kriega Sling Pro Messenger Bag fits neatly into my life and has become my go-to bag for nearly everything over the past four months, from daily commutes to weekend trips and even shopping.
MG Comet long term review, 5,500km report
A long-standing practice of Autocar India’s long-term fleet has been turned on its head by the MG Comet. For years, we’d run our respective long-termers (usually small cars) on the daily commute and then negotiate with our colleagues (usually Hormazd) to borrow a larger one for an occasional outstation trip. Now, as is the tendency of all cars to become big SUVs of some sort, almost all of us run relatively large cars every day and negotiate for a smaller car for quick errands in Mumbai traffic. In fact, the Comet is now in the Sorabjee household and likely sees more use than any of the fancy luxury cars; go figure!
