US-based Netradyne, which provides artificial intelligence-powered dashcams, is expanding its driver monitoring technology to cab-hailing services, a senior official at the recently-minted unicorn said on Tuesday.

Tesla gears up for India launch, leases new Mumbai office
Tesla has now switched to overdrive as it finalises an office space at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. This is the Elon Musk-led electric vehicle company’s third office in India after Pune and Bengaluru. According to Economic Times, Tesla has leased 30 seats in a co-working workplace in Phoenix Market City. The report further reveals that the monthly rent is Rs 3 lakh per month and the lease agreement is for one year with a three-month lock-in period.

50% of cars in India will be electrified: Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra is confident that around 50% of the vehicles in India will be battery-powered in the future, including electric vehicles and hybrids. At the Autocar Professional Future Powertrain Conclave, Mahindra & Mahindra’s President for Automotive Business, R Velusamy, said there will be a rise in demand for EVs and hybrids. He said currently two powertrains dominate the automotive industry — petrol and diesel, while in recent times there’s been an increased demand for CNG, which has around 17% of the market share. He is optimistic that electric vehicles can boost their market share from approximately 3% to 15%. He added that incorporating three electrified options—hybrids, plug-in hybrids with range extenders, and EVs could drive this market share close to 50%.

Real world charging times tested: Mid size SUVs
The third round of our charging time tests, in partnership with Zeon Charging, had four all-electric midsize SUVs – the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV and the BYD Atto 3. Each of these EV's charging cycles were analysed by us and Zeon Charging – one of India’s leading providers – across 10 to 50 sessions per EV, factoring in different times of day, locations and weather conditions. It should also be noted that all sessions were conducted on DC fast chargers capable of delivering speeds well above the vehicle’s maximum charging rate. Nissan X Trail priced Rs 20.42 lakh less at Big Boy Toyz
The Nissan X-Trail hasn’t exactly set the sales charts on fire. Launched in August 2024 at Rs 49.92 lakh, the X-Trail was brought in as a CBU, contributing to the high asking price for this 7-seat SUV. We can now confirm that zero-mileage Nissan X-Trail units are available at premium used car dealer Big Boy Toyz (BBT) for a whopping Rs 20.42 lakh less (about 40 percent) – at Rs 29.50 lakh.
