‘Our energy security goals will have very high element of US involvement,’ says Piyush Goyal
Speaking at the India-US Strategic Forum event in New York amid the ongoing trade tensions, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said that India, being a large importer of energy, will have its energy security goals closely linked with the US in the coming years.
PM Modi lays foundation of India’s largest 2,500 MWh battery storage project in Rajasthan
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of India’s latest battery energy storage (BESS) project of 2,500 megawatt-hour (MWh), which is being established by the Avaada Group in Bikaner (Rajasthan). The BESS project also includes a 1,560 MW-peak (MWp) of solar power capacity. The project was unveiled on Thursday. Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated Avaada Group’s 282 MWp solar power project at a separate location in Bikaner. Together, these two projects represent a combined investment of over ₹9,200 crore in Rajasthan, the Avaada Group said.
Clean energy push: Jupiter Group enters battery storage race, first mega export to Africa next month
Jupiter Electric Mobility, part of the Jupiter Group, launched 10-foot and 20-foot containerised Battery Energy Storage Systems on Thursday. In an exchange filing, the company said that the 10-foot battery system is being supplied in partnership with GMMCO, a CKA Birla Group company. The company added that it will also export its first 20-foot battery system to Africa in October.
