PESB finds no suitable candidate for NTPC Chairman and Managing Director post
The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on Wednesday announced that none of the dozen candidates interviewed for the role of chairman and managing director (CMD) of NTPC, India’s largest power producer, were found suitable. This marks another setback for the government’s efforts to fill top positions at public sector undertakings (PSUs).
Continental Petroleums Q4 profit down 76 pc to ₹34 lakh
New Delhi: Continental Petroleums on Wednesday said its net profit plunged nearly 76 per cent to ₹34 lakh in March quarter due to heightened price fluctuations, softer export demand, and tariff-related pressures.
NHPC Q4 profit rises 52% in Q4 to ₹919 crore; FY25 profit slips 15%

However, for the entire FY25, the net profit declined by around 15 per cent to ₹3,411.73 crore, from ₹3,999.54 crore in FY24. The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.51 per equity share of face value ₹10 for the financial year 2024–25, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 1.40 per equity share for the FY 2024-25 paid in March 2025.

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has commissioned an additional 112.5 MW at its Sikar Solar Power Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the company announced on May 20.
