Japanese consortium sign MoU to set up a new green ammonia production facility in Odisha by 2030
A consortium of Japanese majors — IHI Corporation, Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., shipping major Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., Inc., Mizuho Bank, Ltd., and Tokyo Century Corporation — has come together and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore investment opportunities in a green ammonia production project currently under development in India, according to a statement issued by the shipping major. In the project, a new green ammonia production facility will be established in Odisha, eastern India by 2030, in collaboration with ACME Group, a major renewable energy company in India. The facility aims to produce about 4 lakh tonnes of green ammonia annually. This green ammonia will be safely and stably transported to Japan, catering to various domestic users such as power generation companies and chemical manufacturers.

JSW Steel pips global steel cos on m-cap race, emerges most valuable
Mumbai: Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel has emerged as the most valuable company globally with its market capitalisation touching $30.5 billion on Tuesday. It was ranked higher than the global steel companies such as US-based Nucor Corp and ArcelorMittal whose market-cap was at $29.4 billion and $26.9 billion. Nippon Steel Corp and Tata Steel m-cap was at $24.5 billion and $22.9 billion as on Tuesday.
JSW Steel to transfer Salav unit to subsidiary for Rs 2,233 crore
JSW Steel will transfer its sponge iron unit at Salav village in Raigad, Maharashtra to its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Green Steel, it said in disclosures filed with the exchanges on Tuesday.
