Chhattisgarh to auction nine mineral blocks; ₹1,600 crore revenue and 3,000 jobs expected from limestone projects
The Chhattisgarh Directorate of Geology and Mining is set to auction nine mineral blocks, including four high-quality limestone blocks in Balodabazar (holding over 200 MT of reserves), which could support a 3–4 MTPA cement/clinker plant. These limestone blocks, rich in CaO content, are located near major cement facilities and are well-connected by rail and road.
Clauses on critical minerals to be part of FTA ambits
In the worldwide scramble for critical minerals, the government will look at more collaborations through expansion of free trade agreements and special partnership agreements to meet its requirements of these resources, the bedrock of modern manufacturing.

India’s petroleum product exports decline 10% in June
India’s export of petroleum products in June declined by almost 10% to 1.19 million barrels per day (bpd), from 1.32 million bpd in May, according to data from global real-time data and analytics provider Kpler. On an year-on-year basis too, exports declined by 3.7% from 1.24 million barrels in June 2024.

ACME Solar Holdings bags bid for 2 projects in AP
Hyderabad: ACME Solar Holdings won the bid for NHPC’s tender for cumulative capacity of 275 MW / 550 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Andhra Pradesh across two projects at Kuppam and Ghani. The company’s winning bid for Kuppam project was at a tariff of ₹2,10,000 per MW per month with a capacity of 50 MW / 100 MWh.
