India-UK social security pact was non-negotiable in free trade deal: Piyush Goyal
India is preparing a plan to track utilisation of green hydrogen and build global partnerships for exporting the fuel, Secretary Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Santosh Kumar Sarangi said Thursday. Speaking at the CII International Business Conclave on Green Hydrogen, he said traceability of green hydrogen utilisation is very important. He also said concessions for green hydrogen export will be part of India’s deliberations in trade agreements.

HZL expansion plan not enough
Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL)’s capacity expansion plan failed to cheer investors, with the stock sliding about 10% after the promoter group offloaded 1.6% of its shareholding. The company has announced plans to invest ₹12,000 crore in the first phase between FY26 and FY28, with total capex reaching ₹32,000-35,000 crore by FY31.

Rajasthan brings new rules to develop the mining-affected areas
The District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) will use 70 per cent of funds in “high-priority areas”, said T Ravikant, principal secretary of mines and petroleum department. The rest of the amount will be used for development works in other places in mining areas. For DMFT, 30 per cent of royalty amount is collected from old mines of major minerals and 10 per cent each from auctioned major mineral mines and minor mineral mines.
