Government plans higher ethanol blend and IBA diesel mix
The government is planning to increase the blend of ethanol in petrol, from the current 20% to 27%, and call the new fuel as E27. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has been tasked to come up with the new norms for the fuel on a priority basis, and the first consultation is to be held next week, as per a TOI report.

Reliance Power delivers net profit of Rs 44.68 crore in Q1FY26
Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 44.68 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26), compared to a loss of Rs 98.16 crore in the year-ago period. The revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,885 crore, down 5.35 per cent year-on-year. The company recorded total income of Rs 2,025 crore, while EBITDA came in at Rs 565 crore.
