The cost of e-trucks and issues of charging time and range anxiety can be addressed with inexpensive policy shifts. The push is well worth it for reasons of energy security and lower pollution. While CNG is a clean fuel, it needs to be imported.

WRTL revenue surges 155% on strong solar EPC execution
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) reported a revenue jump of 155.20 per cent year-on-year to ₹603.19 crore in Q1 FY26, driven by accelerated project execution and tight operational control. The company’s profit after tax surged 206.77 per cent to ₹86.39 crore compared to ₹28.16 crore in the same quarter last year. The solar EPC arm of the Waaree Group achieved an EBITDA of ₹117.54 crore, representing a growth of 186.14 per cent year-on-year, with margins expanding to 19.49 per cent from 17.38 per cent in Q1 FY25. The company’s PAT margin improved to 14.32 per cent from 11.91 per cent in the previous year.

Solar plant user fee for govt staff likely to go

Presently, employees living in government houses are charged Rs 300 per kilowatt as the user fee for power consumption, which translates into Rs 900 for 3 kW plants and Rs 3,000 for 6 kW plants for a two-month billing cycle.
