JSW Steel to sell 50% stake in Bhushan Power to JFE Steel for ₹15,750 crore
Mumbai: JSW Steel will sell 50 per cent stake in its subsidiary Bhushan Power and Steel (BPSL) to JFE Steel Corporation for ₹15,750 crore, to form an equal joint venture at an equity value of ₹31,500 crore, as part of its efforts to deleverage its balance sheet and fund growth. It will also transfer BPSL-related debt of ₹5,000 crore to the newly-formed joint venture entity.

Gold imports drive India's CAD to 1.3% in Q2 FY26: Analysts
New Delhi: India's current account deficit (CAD) widened sequentially to USD 12.3 billion, or 1.3% of GDP, in the second quarter of FY26. Analysts believe that the deficit is led by a sharp rise in the merchandise trade gap despite strong growth in services exports and remittances. The CAD had stood at 0.3% of GDP in the previous quarter.

Govt forms panel to hunt for ONGC Chairman

IndiGrid to buy ISTS project from ReNew for ₹372 crore
Mumbai: IndiGrid, a power sector Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), on Tuesday announced the execution of definitive agreements to acquire Gadag Transmission, a Karnataka-based Inter-State Transmission (ISTS) project, for ₹372 crore, excluding any net working capital and cash adjustments. Additionally, there will be an earn-out related to change in law, availability, and bilateral billing-related aspects to be paid to the sellers if and when the payment is received.
