MNRE exempts SEZ, EOU-based renewable plants from ALMM for green hydrogen production
New Delhi: The ministry of new & renewable energy (MNRE) has issued a directive exempting renewable energy plants located within special economic zones (SEZs) or export oriented units (EOUs) from the approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) requirements, provided they exclusively supply power for green hydrogen production.

Tata Steel earmarks capex of Rs 17,000 crore for FY25
Tata Steel has guided for a capex of Rs 17,000 crore for FY25, of which a large majority would be spent in India, including for the ongoing expansion at Kalinganagar. With many projects on track, the Tata Group firm is also expecting FY25 to be better than FY24, its CEO & MD T V Narendran said.
JSW Steel expects Rs 1,000 crore in revenue from JSW Magsure this year
Industrialist Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel has started commercial production of zinc-magnesium-aluminium alloy-coated steel, branded as JSW Magsure, and expects it to add another Rs 1,000 crore in revenue this year.The firm, which is the only Indian company to manufacture the product, intends to capture 50% domestic market share within a year and increase it to 75% in two years, JSW Steel coated business executive vice president Ashwani K Sharma said.

JSW Steel invests ₹500 crore to set up 9 lakh tonne of Magsure capacity
JSW Steel has made an investment of ₹500 crore to set-up nine lakh tonne of highly corrosion resistant speciality steel -- JSW Magsure -- produced from its factory at Vasind and Vijayanagar in Maharashtra and Karnataka, respectively. The company said it targets to capture 50 per cent market share of steel supplied roof-mounted solar projects in the first year of operations while primarily targeting the solar projects being executed in India.

NTPC Green IPO to fetch over `8,000 cr, says CMD
NTPC would seek to raise around “a billion dollars” – over `8,300 crore – at current exchange rate through the initial public offering (IPO) of its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), chairman and MD Gurdeep Singh told FE.
