In January 2023, the Union Cabinet approved the National Green Hydrogen Mission with an outlay of INR 19,744 crore with an aim to make India a global hub for manufacturing this clean source of energy.
Climate investor Eversource receives grant funding from US and Danish governments

Eversource, a climate investment joint venture between Everstone Group and Lightsource BP, on Tuesday said that it has received so-called catalytic concessional capital from the U.S. Department of State and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its programme – Blended Finance for Energy Transition (BFET) and the Investment Fund for Developing Countries under the Danish Development Finance Institution.

New Delhi: India’s crude oil imports from Iraq rose to the highest levels in more than a year at over 1 million barrels per day (mb/d) in November 2023 propelled by high prices of Saudi Arabia’s Arab Light grade and softening prices of Basrah, the flagship Iraqi grade. Data from the energy intelligence firm Vortexa show that crude oil imports from Iraq rose 32 per cent m-o-m and 24 per cent y-o-y in November.
