Cement demand to rise by 6.5-7.5% this fiscal, prices may go up by 2-4%, says Crisil – Here are key growth drivers
The cement industry is expected to record a demand growth of 6.5-7.5 per cent this fiscal, stated a report by Crisil Intelligence. This, it added, will be driven by an approximately 10 per cent rise in budgetary allocation for core infrastructure ministries and on expectation that an above-normal monsoon will boost agricultural profitability, in turn lifting rural housing demand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate a new Amrit Bharat train service between Saharsa in Bihar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai on April 24, the Railway Board announced. This will be the second Amrit Bharat train connecting Bihar and the third such route in India.
