Skoda has rejigged the variant line-up of its seven-seater Kodiaq SUV. The Kodiaq was previously available in three trims – Style, Sportline and L&K. However, it will now be offered only in the top-spec version, and the prices have also been revised.

Skoda is working on a hot vRS version of its new Kodiaq SUV, which is tipped to stick with pure-petrol power. Regular versions of the Kodiaq were recently revealed with pure-combustion, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, with the most powerful Kodiaq currently getting a 204hp turbo-petrol engine with AWD.

The Skoda Kodiaq, which is the Czech brand's flagship SUV has just been revealed. This comes just a few weeks after sibling brand Volkswagen unwrapped the new Tiguan, with which the Kodiaq shares its MQB-Evo platform. However, the parallels are all hidden beneath the skin, with the Kodiaq adopting its own distinctive new look in line with Skoda's new-era design ethos.

Ahead of its global debut next week, Skoda has shared exterior design sketches of the new Kodiaq SUV. These sketches come after the company earlier shared images of the interiors and powertrain details. The second generation Kodiaq will be available in both 5- and 7-seater models.

The large alloy wheels with a new design and updated C-shaped motif in LED taillights are there among other styling elements. Keeping pace with the global trend of sleek lightbars at the tailgate connecting the taillights, the second-generation Kodiaq too would adopt this design element. Overall, the teaser sketches suggest that the design of the new-generation Skoda Kodiaq has been updated significantly.

2024 Skoda Superb and Kodiaq teased: Expected to get petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains
Czech Automaker Skoda recently revealed the interior images of the Skoda Superb and Kodiaq SUV. The company has now teased the images of both vehicles being tested in different climate and temperature conditions. The global launch of these vehicles is expected to happen by the end of 2023 while the India launch could take place sometime in 2024.

 The car brand started testing the new models about four years ago, while the real-world testing started two years ago. Skoda claims that the new Superb and Kodiaq prototypes have experienced temperatures ranging between minus 30 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius. For the temperature testing, the cars have travelled north of the Arctic Circle while also visiting Arizona, Spain, and Africa. The cars claim to have faced 13 per cent inclines while driving in the Austrian Alps, helping the company to study the models' brake efficiency and thermal regulation.
