Limited-run Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition leaked ahead of launch
Mahindra XUV700 was a runaway success when it was first launched in the market in 2021. It replaced the outgoing XUV500 and came with both 5-seat and 7-seat layouts. Later a 6-seat layout with captain seats in the middle row was also added to the XUV700 range.

Mahindra is making the seven-seat version of the XUV700 more accessible by introducing it in the entry-level MX variant. Priced at Rs 15 lakh with the diesel engine, the XUV700 MX 7-seater undercuts the AX3 7-seater by Rs 3 lakh. Mechanically and feature-wise, the new three-row variant is the same as the XUV700 MX 5-seater.

Mahindra will soon be introducing a new ‘Blaze Edition’ of the XUV700 SUV. This special edition SUV will likely be limited to just 2,500 units and comes with a unique matte red paint option, along with certain blacked-out elements. Mahindra has announced that it has 2.26 lakh open orders for its SUV line-up as of February 1, 2024, which is a significant reduction over the 2.86 lakh unit backlog the brand had at the beginning of November 2023. The brand says that it receives an average of 50,000 bookings per month, and has ramped up deliveries to about 40,000 units in a month; this, along with a previously announced ramp up in production, has helped reduce the number of open orders Mahindra currently has.

Mahindra to introduce petrol automatic variant on base XUV700 MX trim
Mahindra currently offers its flagship model– XUV700– at prices between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). Mahindra readying entry level XUV700 MX petrol automatic

The Mahindra XUV700 petrol will get an automatic gearbox-equipped version of its entry-level MX variant, according to a Type Approval Certificate issued by ARAI. The MX trim is offered in manual form only in both petrol and diesel engine options, with an automatic gearbox currently only available with the AX3, AX5 and AX7 variants of the XUV700. This trim for the five-seater SUV is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
