Mahindra Thar Earth edition launched at Rs 15.40 lakh— gets new colour scheme
With all the noise around the 5-door Thar, Mahindra keeps updating the existing 3-door Thar. The homegrown carmaker has now launched a new Earth Edition of the compact off-roading SUV. With prices starting at Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Thar Earth Edition is based on the LX hard-top variant and available with both petrol and diesel powertrain options.

The XUV300 continues to be the entry point to Mahindra SUVs in India, while XUV700 marches on as its flagship ICE offering. Moreover, pricing for the all-electric XUV400 hasn't been revised this time around, while the Bolero and Bolero Neo do not see an increment either.

The video, which is about one minute 30 seconds long, shows the boy egging his father to get him a Mahindra SUV. The child, named Cheeku Yadav, believes that the Thar and XUV700 SUVs are similar models and that they can be bought for just ₹700. He remains confident despite his father trying to explain the difference between the two SUVs and that the prices of both are much higher than he believes them to be.

Mahindra's five-door Thar SUV spotted testing again with hard-top and sunroof
The video of the Mahindra five-door Thar test unit shared on social media shows the SUV with projector LED headlights placed on either side of a redesigned grille. The fog lights, placed on the bumper, are halogen units. At the rear, the five-door Thar is likely to get the square-shaped LED taillight units and a slightly tweaked bumper. The test mule seen in the video is a hard-top unit which will also offer an electric sunroof, a first in the segment if it makes it to the production version of the SUV. Earlier spy shots have revealed that the sunroof will be a single-pane unit.
