Coal Ministry readies new amnesty scheme for surrender of idle mines
NEW DELHI: In a repeat of the May 2022 amnesty scheme, central and state public sector undertakings would be allowed to surrender non-operational coal mines without forfeiting their bank guarantees and without having to provide a reason. The proposed amnesty scheme is to ensure that the surrendered coal blocks are brought back into auction to new bidders so as to enhance production. It is expected that nine coal blocks could get surrendered involving performance securities totalling Rs 80 crores, said a Coal Ministry official. Surrendered mines would be auctioned with disclosed operational challenges, ensuring that only capable and committed bidders participate, he added.

Juniper Green Energy commissions 64 MW RE capacity in Gujarat, Maharashtra
New Delhi: Juniper Green Energy on Thursday announced the commissioning of 64 MW of renewable energy capacities in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The capacities are part of its two key projects spanning the two states -- Gujarat and Maharashtra, the company said in a statement. Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 28 MW of wind power capacity from its 70 MW wind power project in Devbhumi Dwarka, Gujarat, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Kite Pvt Ltd.
Syrma SGS and Premier Energies to acquire solar inverter manufacturer KSolare Energy
Chennai: Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, along with Premier Energies Ltd, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire 100 per cent ownership of KSolare Energy Private Ltd – a leading solar inverter manufacturer – in the ratio of 49-51 per stake, respectively, for a total consideration of ₹170 crore.  Founded over 13 years ago, KSolare is an established player in India’s solar inverter industry, with FY25 revenue of ₹342 crore. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Pune with a production capacity of 5,00,000 inverters per annum. It specialises in designing and manufacturing a wide range of solar inverters, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid models, mainly for the residential market. 
Waaree Energies sees limited liability in US anti-dumping probe
Waaree Energies, India’s largest solar module manufacturer, said its internal review indicates limited liability exposure amid ongoing anti-dumping duty (ADD) investigations in the US, even as it restructures its global supply chain to ensure compliance and reduce tariff impact in that market.
