Global oil supply set for significant growth over next two years, says IEA

New Delhi: The world’s oil supply is on track for substantial growth over the next two years, with an increase of 3 million barrels per day (mb/d) expected in 2025 and a further 2.4 mb/d in 2026, according to a report from the International Energy Agency (IEA).

IREDA posts 42% rise in Q2 profit on clean energy loans growth
The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency on Tuesday posted a 42% growth in its second quarter profit, helped by robust green lending growth. The renewable energy financier's profit grew to ₹549 crore ($61.8 million) in the quarter ended September 30 from ₹388 crore in the year-ago period. Its interest income rose 28.7% to ₹2,030 crore .

ReNew Energy Global on Tuesday announced that it had received a final non-binding proposal from its key shareholders — Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company-Masdar, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Platinum Hawk, and Sumant Sinha, the founder, chairman and CEO of ReNew — to acquire the shares of the company for a consideration of $8.15 per share.
