Electric PVs volume rebound amid festive demand after knee-jerk reaction to GST cut on IC engine vehicles
New Delhi: Electric passenger vehicle (E PV) volumes are back in action after the initial knee-jerk reaction to the reduction in GST on internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, according to a report by YES Securities.

Mumbai: With the implementation of GST 2.0, entry-level passenger vehicles and two-wheelers have seen a significant rise in sales this festival season, “the best ever”, according to the automobile dealers association.
Jefferies sees double-digit festive jump in auto sales — Tata Motors, Maruti likely to lead
All eyes are on the auto sales for October, given the festive sales during Dussehra, Dhanteras, and Diwali. Jefferies said strong festive demand was set to deliver solid October wholesale numbers across most large OEMs. In its India Autos: October Volume Estimates report dated October 27, the brokerage said passenger vehicle and two-wheeler registrations have risen 20- 23 % year-on-year (YoY) during the first 32 days of the festive season. This trend, it said, was expected to translate into double-digit growth for most manufacturers once October dispatch figures were announced.

Delhi bans entry of non-BS6 vehicles: Here’s what’s allowed and what’s not
In an effort to reduce Delhi’s toxic air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has announced that starting November 1, 2025, only BS6-compliant commercial vehicles will be allowed to enter the national capital. All vehicles that run on BS4, BS5, or older emission standards will be completely banned from entering Delhi, according to PTI.
