A road trip to the royal past: Spirit of Agra, sophistication of GLC
October is a lovely month for driving – especially in parts of north India where early morning haze slowly gives way to soft sunlight. The ambient lighting of the new GLC further softens the cabin’s mood, and its panoramic sunroof lets in enough of the dawn to remind you why road trips matter. Especially a road trip that takes you from luxury in motion to luxury at rest – from the cabin of a Mercedes-Benz to a hotel that celebrates our royal past, the ITC Mughal Agra.

Test mules of the new-generation Hyundai Venue have been spotted multiple times, giving us an idea of the design philosophy and the features of the upcoming 2025 Hyundai Venue. However, the latest spyshot of the upcoming Hyundai Venue has left no secret about the design philosophy of the sub-compact SUV.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Should you buy it? 5 pros and 2 cons
Maruti Suzuki Jimny, which was launched in its five-door avatar in India, has achieved a major milestone. The baby off-roader with go anywhere capability may yet not be as popular as many other SUVs in India, but the made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Jimny has crossed the milestone of exporting one lakh units since its exports started in 2023. The five-door iteration of the Jimny is exclusively manufactured in India and is exported to more than 100 international markets across the world. Some of the key markets for the SUV include Japan, Mexico, Australia, South Africa and Chile. In fact, with this feat, the Jimny five-door has become Maruti Suzuki's most exported vehicle, following the Fronx.

The Underdog: Bolero Neo
The ‘Bolero’ nameplate carries an iconic status in the Indian automotive space, something I covered in the 2025 Mahindra Bolero review last week. So when Mahindra revamped its sub-four-metre SUV in 2021 and called it the Bolero Neo, it was seemingly positioned to replace the icon. That, sadly, wasn’t the case. The Bolero Neo has always been the underdog of the compact SUV segment; it may not be as modern as its rivals, but it is tough, rugged and reasonably easy to live with. With this facelift, has Mahindra finally addressed its issues and given it a second wind to go up against newer competition? That is what I aimed to find out.

🏍 2/3 Wheelers

TVS eyes shift to top gear with plans for Norton's revival
New Delhi: TVS Motor Co is revving up its global ambitions through Norton Motorcycles, the British marquee brand it acquired five years ago. Chairman and managing director Sudarshan Venu told Mint the company plans to launch six new models by the end of 2026 and scale Norton's annual sales to 20,000 units over time, as part of a ₹1,000-crore revival drive aimed at positioning the brand at the heart of TVS’s premium and international play.
Piaggio loses 2nd spot in three-wheeler market
Italian three-wheeler (3W) giant Piaggio has slipped from the second spot in the domestic three-wheeler market, with its share falling to 6.2% in the first half (April-September) of the current fiscal from 7.3% during the same period a year ago. The company sold 38,441 units, down from 43,371, even as overall three-wheeler sales rose 4% to 618,230, according to Vahan data.
Easy Does It: TVS Motor Company
It was always inexplicable that the TVS Motor Company, which has a glorious history of off-road racing, didn’t have an adventure motorcycle. That changed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo where a few people got to see the brand’s first ADV in the flesh. And nine months later, I finally got to experience the new Apache RTX 300. If you were expecting this to be a hardcore off-road machine such as the ones TVS Racing uses, you are mistaken. But does that make it a bad motorcycle? Absolutely not.

Ferrari 296 Speciale review: Special Effects
Each time Ferrari launches a new model, you can be assured that a more focused, no-holds-barred version will follow soon after. It started with the 360 Modena, which was followed by the 360 Challenge Stradale, then the F430 which got the F430 Scuderia, the 458 Italia with the 458 Speciale, and the 488 GTB with the 488 Pista. For the 296 GTB, this would be a tall order. However, when Ferrari actually managed to make a wilder version of the mid-engined supercar, it was so impressive that even they couldn’t think of a suffix better than what it simply was — Speciale.
