Yamaha forays into EVs, to increase focus in Tier 2, 3 markets
Mumbai: Aiming to ride on the Electric Vehicle (EV) growth story, Yamaha Motor India announced its entry into the premium electric vehicle two-wheeler segment. The company will launch AEROX-E and EC-06, which will be introduced for the Indian market in 2026. Yahama plans on launching 10 products by the end of the calendar year 2026. The company introduced four new products in Mumbai on Tuesday. It did not reveal the price of its EV but launched the XSR155 at ₹1,49,990 and the FZ-RAVE at ₹1,17,218 lakh.

BS-III petrol, BS-IV diesel vehicles temporarily banned in Delhi-NCR
Delhi-NCR has enforced Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) after air quality slipped into the ‘severe’ category, prompting a temporary ban on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel vehicles across the region. The order, issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), covers Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The restrictions will stay in place until pollution levels improve and AQI readings remain below 400 for a sustained period.
