Electric tractor sales barely take off even with state sops as farmer awareness remains low
New Delhi: Only 26 electric tractors have been sold in India so far this fiscal year compared with about half a million diesel units sold in the same period as lack of adequate charging infrastructure in rural areas remains a key challenge.
Tractor sales touch all-time high in October driven by GST cut and favourable monsoon
Tractor sales in October touched the highest ever levels for any month in the last seven years driven by good monsoons and GST rate cut. In October, 1,73,635 tractors were sold as against 1,51,772 in October 2024 and 1,54,417 in September 2025, according to data from Tractor and Mechanisation Association. The previous highest monthly tally was in September 2025 at 1,54,417 units.

Air quality hits season’s worst, Capital chokes
Delhi’s air quality has dropped to its lowest level of the season, with a grey haze hanging heavily over the Capital on Monday — the air thick, the skyline blurred, and temperatures falling sharply below normal.  According to the AQI, in website, the national Capital recorded an air quality index of 494, with PM10 at 420 µg/m³ and PM2.5 at 323 µg/m³ at 10.30 am.

Ola Electric files compact car design patent
Ola Electric Mobility recently filed a new 4-wheeler design patent application in India, which may hint at a future launch. While its exact dimensions aren’t known yet, the tall, 4-door Ola EV appears to have a design similar to that of the MG Comet EV, though the latter is a 2-door. Previously, Ola teased an electric sedan concept, patent images of which had also surfaced, showcasing its design. However, the company reportedly put its development on hold to focus on producing mass-market electric scooters.
One-off Maserati GranTurismo, GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica unveiled
Maserati has unveiled two special one-offs of the GranCabrio and the GranTurismo, respectively. Called the GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica and the GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica, these one-off special editions mark the return of production of both models to Maserati’s HQ in Modena, where all previous generations of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio have been produced. Until now, this generation of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio has been produced at the Mirafiori plant in Turin.

Honda CB300R discontinued in India
Honda has silently delisted the CB300R from its website, and the dealers we spoke to said that no unsold stock remains and no further bookings are being taken. The CB300R was first brought to India in 2019 in a fully CKD (completely knocked down) form before being discontinued within a year with the onset of the BS6 era in 2020. The little CB then returned to our shores in early 2022 – this time it even had localised components – before once again being pulled off sale very recently. 
Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4kWh variant launched at Rs 1.02 lakh
Hero MotoCorp has launched a new variant of the Vida VX2 Go, now available with a 3.4kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 1.02 lakh. Previously, the VX2 Go was offered only with a 2.2kWh battery, while the larger 3.4kWh unit was exclusive to the VX2 Plus.
Bajaj to enter electric motorcycle space with new homegrown platform
Bajaj Auto is developing an all-new electric motorcycle platform as part of what Executive Director Rakesh Sharma calls a “vigorous R&D push.” The homegrown programme, being designed and engineered entirely in-house, will cater to a wide range of segments — from entry-level commuters to high-performance machines — signalling the next phase in Bajaj’s electric mobility strategy.
Bajaj developing sub-350cc KTM and Triumph bikes
Bajaj Auto has officially confirmed that it is working on smaller-capacity KTM and Triumph motorcycles for India, following the revised GST structure that came into effect in September. We’d earlier reported that the company was developing a downsized version of the Triumph’s 399cc engine to bring it under the sub-350cc category, and Bajaj has now confirmed that this strategy will extend to the KTM range as well.

Audi India has launched new ‘Signature Line’ packages for the Q3, Q3 Sportback, and Q5.
