Opinion: Is 300 the new 250 in India?
The 250cc category has always been a huge thing overseas, partly down to racing regulations, but also due to various tax and licensing regulations over the decades. Neither of those things has ever played a significant role in India, and it’s perhaps why the 250s never really became a big thing here. For years, the Honda CBR250R was the only significant player, and it was only post 2017, when Bajaj made a significant push through the KTMs, Husqvarnas, Dominars and Pulsars (as well as Suzuki with its 250s), that this segment started to have a sizable number of players.
Kia Syros diesel vs Sonet real world mileage compared
That Kia India has two diesel compact SUVs on sale says a lot about the fierce competition in the 8 car-strong segment. The Syros and Sonet share the 1.5-litre diesel engine and the 6-speed automatic gearbox, but are rated differently by ARAI; the newer Kia compact SUV is rated at 17.65kpl, while the older Sonet has an ARAI mileage of 18.6kpl. We find out if the difference is the same in the real world with our exhaustive and accurate mileage tests.

2025 Audi Q5 long term review, 7500km report
I don’t recall a colour piquing my interest in a test car as much as this fetching shade of District Green on the Audi Q5. Close to a military green, it’s such a welcome break from the usual whites, silvers and blacks luxury cars are typically finished in. This would be my spec of choice were I shopping for a Q5, of that I’m sure.
Citroen Basalt X AT vs Skoda Slavia AT: Real world mileage compared
Due to the Citroen Basalt X's price points and body style, it can be considered an alternative to midsize SUVs like the Tata Curvv (another coupe-SUV), and Hyundai Creta and Maruti Victoris, and similar-sized sedans, like the Skoda Slavia. In fact, the Citroen and the Skoda (and by extension the Volkswagen Virtus) not only have comparable ground clearances of 180mm and 179mm, respectively, the Basalt X Turbo and the Slavia 1.0 Turbo variants share the same Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox and near-identical ARAI efficiency figures. We find out which turbo-petrol engine and automatic gearbox combination is more fuel efficient in the real world with our exhaustive mileage tests.
